The Toulouse Faculty of Economics numbers 3,000 students in B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. programmes. Quality research is of prime importance, as reflected by the rankings of the European Economic Association (EEA), 2003, or the University of Melbourne (http://www.econphd.net), 2005.
Horizons are wide open. Aside from research, where links with the key centres take place on a daily basis, the Faculty enjoys extended contact with numerous foreign universities (more than 60 for student exchanges), organises special programmes for foreign students (Norway, China, Latin Americaespecially Mexico and Artentina), maintains close ties with North Aftrica, Vietnam, Laos, and participates in several international networks of universities (ENTER, Labor Studies, the Maastricht Group, for example). In Toulouse itself, foreign students make up about 35% of the enrolment.
Within the Faculty, the Toulouse School of Economics (TSE) offers a two-year M.A. of the highest European standard. A generalist first year (M1) opens up to second year (M2) professionally or research-oriented programmes
